Music Publications Editor and Education Specialist
Plan activities and determine methods and procedures to insure specific goals and objectives for Society music and education programs. Function as a team member in the music department to assist in planning, design and implementation of the department’s annual work plan. Travel extensively to execute the work plan.

Archivist
Archivist intern for full or part-time work on a pro bono basis. This intern position is non-paid and freelance, but all contributors will receive a one-page presentation of themselves on our website.

Graphic Artist or Writer/Editor
The Harmonizer, the Society’s full-color bi-monthly magazine is distributed to more than 30,000 members in the United States and Canada. The organization is seeking a few top-notch interns to assist with content, layout and production work for the magazine as well as the association website www.barbershop.org, which logs approximately 1.78 million page views annually.

Magazine/Web Writer
This is an opportunity to work for an international music magazine headquartered in downtown Nashville. The Harmonizer, the flagship publication of the Barbershop Harmony Society, is a full-color, high attitude magazine filled with profiles, fun, accomplishments, humor, photos, editorializing and more. More than 30,000 singers and singing fans read this energetic, bi-monthly publication.

Music Library/Licensing
Assist the Library Licensing Coordinator, Julie Grower, in updating arrangement catalog in Aptify with current licensor and medley information. Also will assist in organizing and optimizing space in music library.

Public Relations (Social Media)
Recently, the Barbershop Harmony Society entered the world of social media with presences on FaceBook and YouTube. The company is increasingly mentioned on social networking sites like Twitter. Also, the Society has launched a new blog (www.barbershopHQ.com). The challenge is how to maximize the effectiveness of these initiatives and opportunities. This individual will look for and recommend ways to build the Barbershop Harmony Society viewership, presence and image in the evolving world of social media.
