Harmonizer Mastheads Through the Year

Special Features

"Simonizer" 1977
This lampoon of the Society's official magazine, The Harmonizer, was published in jest by editor Roger Payne of the Westchester County, N.Y. chapter in 1977. Their monthly chapter bulletin, The Golden Notes, was a creative outlet for some of our most imaginative members.

Roger was assisted by outstanding cartoon artist, Ed Tyler whose artwork appeared in many Society bulletins and the Harmonizer. Credits also go to Joe Hunter, Doug Chapman, Walt Peek, Andy Smith and Bob Van Wart. Also appearing in this issue are members of 4 Under Par, a popular top 10 comedy quartet.

Roger Payne was tenor of 4 Under Par as well as a popular judge, coach and song writer. He died of cancer in 2006.
