2022 International Survey Results
Thank you to the 1,289 attendees that completed the 2022 International Convention survey. Collected survey responses help determine and improve future events, including:
- Initiatives and programs that provide the highest level of value to attendees
- Health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all attendees
Below are highlights from the 1,289 responses received as of Friday, July 15th, 2022. These responses discuss general attendee information, as well as health and safety.
General Attendee Information
The top two primary reasons these respondents attended the convention were to: compete in the INTERNATIONAL chorus and/or quartet contest and to just have FUN.
Health and Safety Information
The majority of the respondents felt “Very safe” or "Extremely safe".
The policy of the Barbershop Harmony was to strongly encourage (but not require) wearing masks during the event. The majority of respondents “Never” or "Rarely" wore a mask during the convention.
The Barbershop Harmony Society is aware of at least 326 reported COVID-19 cases. BHS is aware that the number of positive cases post-convention could be more due to non-reporting.
