In alignment with the Society Mission and Vision
In alignment with the Society Core Values
In alignment with the Society Code of Ethics
In alignment with the Society Statements of Affirmation
Not overtly political
Not overtly sexualized
Not overtly offensive
Without intent to defame or belittle
The Society Board is committed to upholding all individuals and to ensuring everyone feels welcome to be a part of the BHS, as singers, audience members and supporters.
This statement provides guidelines not only for the competition stage, but all of the Society's programs, public performances, products, services, and communications, such as what appears on YouTube or items archived in our Society library, for example.
While the Society Contest and Judging Committee already has contest rules concerning “Good Taste." Moving forward, they will reference and utilize the newly approved “Statement Regarding Acceptable Taste” when judging contests.
