Registration Location

Hilton Cleveland Downtown (100 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland, OH 44114)- Hope Ballroom A-D, located on 3rd floor

  • Monday 2 pm-6 pm
  • Tuesday 9 am-6 pm
  • Wednesday 9 am-6 pm
  • Thursday 9 am-6 pm
  • Friday 9 am-6 pm
  • Saturday 9 am-1 pm


Convention Badge Requirements

  • Your convention badge is required for admission to all convention activities.
  • Attendees must obtain an official badge at the Registration area in the Hilton (Hope Ballroom A-D, 3rd floor).
  • Badges will be checked at the door before entering all convention events: classes, festivals, afterglows, contests, etc...
  • Additional registrations may be purchased online at barbershop.org/cleveland or in person at the registration area.

Admission to Public Auditorium

  • Doors will open 45 minutes prior to all events.
  • Security check: All bags are subject to search upon entering the arena.
  • No outside food or drink allowed. Guests may carry in an empty reusable water bottle.

Seating

  • All seating is reserved.
  • Your seat location will be printed on your convention badge.

Courtesy to performers and guests

  • Please silence cell phones and devices when entering the building.
  • No flash photography or video recording permitted during performances.
  • Light from screens (even silent and in your lap) can be distracting. Please respect performers and fellow audience members by not using any screens during performances, including taking photos with your phone or digital camera with an active screen.
  • No matter how desperately you need to experience that baritone note for yourself— please, do not sing along during performances.

Shows, Glows, & Special Events— Experience Everything!

There’s so much more to a barbershop convention than sitting and listening! Comb through the convention program for full listings of all events.

  • Learn and do with amazing Harmony University classes.
  • Ask questions and engage at the Town Hall with CEO Steve Denino on Wednesday at 8:00am.
  • Ambassadors of Harmony (Thursday 3:30pm) and Midtown (Thursday 10am) Gold Medal Hours! Learn from the Champs.
  • First Timer at International? Join us in the Veterans A at the Hilton on Monday (3pm or 4pm) or Tuesday (8am) for Orientation!
  • Explore improvisational harmony with The Woodshedders in the “Cleveland Now” Room at the Hilton.
  • Ring ’em and ring ’em and ring ’em in Tag Zones throughout the week.
  • Stop by the afterglows each night at the Hilton.
  • Catch the Bourbon Street Jazz Band in Elliot’s Bar (Hilton - 2nd floor) on Friday night.

Livestream Information

Encourage friends and family to watch the Livestream! Your folks back home can see all the contest action LIVE, plus interviews with performers, shout-outs, and special features.​​​​​ Pro-tip: Order the live stream for yourself so you can watch from your room when unable to be in the auditorium AND have access to the replay, available July 8-21! Travel from the Airport to City Center

  • Typical travel time from the airport to downtown is approximately 20-25 minutes, depending on the time of day.
  • Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) prices vary by time of day, but are often less expensive than Taxis.
  • Via Train: The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) offers convenient service to and from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. RTA's Red Line provides regular service between CLE and downtown Cleveland via the Tower City Station. The trip takes less than 30 minutes and trains depart from CLE every 15 minutes for the majority of the day.
    • RTA's station at CLE is located on the lower level of the main terminal. To reach the RTA station, travelers should use the elevators or escalators located in the center of the ticketing and baggage claim levels.

Arrivals: busiest arrival date for the BHS convention is Tuesday, July 2. Expect busy hotel desks for check-in and lines at the convention registration desks.

Departures: busiest departure date is Sunday, July 7. Expect long lines at airport security. Allow at least 2 hours in the Cleveland airport before scheduled departure.

  • There will be a “blockbuster” movie that is filming in downtown Cleveland during our convention dates. Please plan on potential road closures in the metropolis.
