We are thrilled that you are joining us in San Antonio for the 2025 Barbershop Harmony Society Midwinter Convention. Here are some important reminders to prepare you for the upcoming convention.
REGISTRATION & BADGES
When you arrive in San Antonio, please visit our registration desk on the 2nd floor of the Marriott Riverwalk Hotel to pick-up your convention badge. Your convention badge will be your ticket into all convention events including shows, contests and afterglows.

MARKETPLACE
The Marketplace will be open the same hours as registration in the Travis room at the Marriott Riverwalk, and will have limited quantities available- Grab your favorite items while you can, including the on-site only Midwinter Convention shirt (NOT available online):

Please note that the Marketplace is cashless - only credit cards will be accepted. Don't forget to "be green" and pack your reusable bags!
SEATING
Doors will open 30 minutes prior to all events at the Lila Cockrell Theatre. Your reserved seat will be printed on your convention badge.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION
Rideshare apps can sometimes be the most cost-effective way to get from point A to point B. Both UBER and LYFT are widely available in San Antonio. Don’t forget to verify that you have the UBER or LYFT app on your smartphone before traveling.
SHOWS, GLOWS, AND SPECIAL EVENTS
You probably know about the incredible performers that are appearing on our nightly shows at 7:30pm (Lila Cockrell Theatre)! We want to feature some other exciting things happening during the convention.
- Join the Mic Tester Chorus, under the direction of Patrick McAlexander (Director of Space City Sound)! This experience is open to anyone with a registration and is at no additional cost. Simply sign up via this google form, and join others to test the mics before the Chorus Contest on Friday!
- Stop by the Woodshedders room (Marriott-Valero Room) to ‘shed at any time!
- BHS Interim CEO, Steve Denino, will present: BHS Q&A Town Hall at 2:00pm on Thursday (Marriott Riverwalk-Alamo CDEF)
- The NextGen Junior Quartet Contest is always an attendee favorite. Cheer them on Thursday at 4:00pm (Marriott Riverwalk-Alamo CDEF).
- Don’t miss the Gold Medal Hour with Three and a Half Men on Saturday morning at 9:15am (Marriott Riverwalk-Alamo CDEF)
- The Chorus Festival on Friday at 10:30am will feature youth choruses as well as seniors choruses (Lila Cockrell Theatre).
- The International Seniors Quartet Championship begins at 11am on Saturday. Be sure to cheer on the best seniors quartets in the world (Lila Cockrell Theatre).
