Morris Music Men say thanks to vets
The closed-circuit TV channel in a VA Hospital brings barbershop cheer to patients throughout the day.
Singing for shut-ins has always been a staple of barbershop community service. The Morris Music Men have added a neat technological twist that keeps the joy coming at the Lyons, N.J. Veterans Administration Hospital. In addition to a nice dose of barbershop harmony on the in-house Get Well Network, chorus members made brief drop-in videos thanking vets for their service. (The video shown here is a supercut; normally, they are broadcast individually amidst other programming.)
Thanks to David Sipple, president, and Rich Petillo, marketing veep, for this innovative outreach idea!
